Foreign Currency Account
A Foreign Currency Account is an at call account denominated in a foreign currency. Credits are received into the account and debits are paid from the account in foreign currency with out the need to convert to Australian Dollars. Benefits include:
- holding funds in a foreign currency may reduce the requirement to convert these funds into AUD, thus reducing costs associated with such conversions.
- interest may be paid on some accounts where the required minimum balance is maintained.
- once cleared, funds in the FCA are available on demand.
