Commonwealth Bank is pleased to offer a pre-approved MasterCard or Visa credit card with a minimum credit limit of $5,000 to new arrivals to Australia who fulfill the following eligibility criteria:

  • Have confirmed employment in Australia
  • Have confirmed income over $50,000 per annum in Australia

There are four different Credit Card options available for pre-approval for new arrivals to Australia.

Note: The Complimentary Insurance Cover feature is not available to non resident card holders.

How to Apply
Contact our International Customer Services team who will take you through this offer and send you an application form. On arrival in Australia visit your nominated branch with the following documents to submit your application.

Required Documents:

  • Copy of Visa
  • Copy of Letter of Employment (must include your salary and length of employment)

Once identified at the branch your card and PIN will be ordered and sent to your address in Australia within 5 working days.
